Arriving
Travelling above ground on raised tracks but administered as part of the tube system, the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) runs from Bank station (Central or Waterloo or City lines) or Tower Gateway station (Circle and District lines), to Greenwich via Limehouse and Canary Wharf. Greenwich DLR station isn’t particularly close to the O2, but you can walk there in about 10 minutes. Trains run 5.30am – 12.30am from Monday to Saturday and 7.00am-11.30pm on Sunday.
North Greenwich tube station is located even closer to the O2 than Greenwich DLR station. To reach the O2 from the city centre, you can jump on the Jubilee line, which will take you directly there via Bermondsey, Canada Water and Canary Wharf.
London City Airport (LCY) is the closest to the O2. The DLR station is situated immediately adjacent to the London City Airport terminal building, with enclosed access to and from the elevated platforms. You can take the DLR to Canning Town then switch to the Jubilee line for North Greenwich.

Oyster Card
Once you're in London, the cheapest and easiest way to get around the city is with an Oyster Card. It is valid across all travel zones and automatically calculates the best value fare for all the journeys you make in a single day. It can be used on buses, Tube trains, trams, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London. You can buy the card online, pre-loaded with credit, before you go to London (the card can now be sent to 58 countries around the world.)
The Oyster Card is reusable. There’s an auto top-up function which makes sure you never run out of pay-as-you-go credit by automatically topping up your card with funds from your bank account or credit card whenever your balance falls below £8.
